Where to Ask About Custody or Records

The main Chatham County jail and sheriff contact point is the Sheriff's Office and jail complex at 1050 Carl Griffin Drive, Savannah, GA 31405. Sheriff Richard S. Coleman is the sheriff named on the official site. Standard sheriff business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, while Booking, Front Lobby, and Shift Commander contacts are listed for around-the-clock assistance.

• For a sentenced Georgia state prisoner, use GDC Find an Offender. Coastal State Prison and Coastal Transitional Center are state custody channels, not sheriff booking-feed searches.
